Shruti was a student in my graduate “Practical Software Engineering” class. In addition to contributing the code hands-on Shruti also led one of the Scrum teams as a Product Owner. Shruti wrote the initial project proposal document, got the team (and the instructor) to choose this project over other competing proposals and then lead the team to the successful implementation.
